About Ty Cochyn Caravan and Campsite
Ty Cochyn is a small, adults-only campsite tucked into quiet farmland around six miles north-east of Holyhead, welcoming guests aged twenty-one and over. The policy sets the tone: this is a genuinely peaceful site aimed at couples and small groups rather than family holidays. Pitches accommodate tents, touring caravans and motorhomes, with seasonal options available for those wanting a regular Anglesey base through the warmer months, plus over-winter storage for owners leaving caravans between visits.
Dogs are welcome on leads, or free to run in a dedicated dog field—a rare and useful extra for anyone travelling with a well-exercised pet. The surrounding lanes are good for quiet cycling and walking, with the coastal path and beaches around Church Bay and Cemaes both within easy reach by car.
Holyhead, with its shops, station and ferry terminal, is around fifteen minutes' drive, making Ty Cochyn a workable base for exploring west Anglesey while returning each night to somewhere genuinely calm.

What visitors say
What a wonderful campsite! Me, my partner and Dog visited for 3 nights in July. Stunning location! The toilets and showers were very clean and the showers had flowing lovely hot water you didn’t have to keep turning on. The facilities were great like free tea and coffee, a kettle, a pool table and darts. Gary the owner was so friendly and lovely, he was knowledgable of the area and we felt at home on his site. The Church Bay Inn pub is about a 25 minute walk away but well worth a visit, they don’t serve food but it was such a lovely quirky pub with the most beautiful views. Would we visit again? 1000% yes!

Stunning location, nice quiet site with two lots of toilets and good showers. Site is dog friendly and has a large field for exercising your pooch. Pitch had the usual electric and water hookup, plus a picnic table, and the view was first class. Owner Gary is a lovely chap and very friendly and helpful. One or two cases within walking distance, a fair bit within cycling distance. The site seems pretty new so I think it will keep getting better. Will definitely be returning in the future.

We had such a lovely stay at this campsite! From the moment we arrived, Gary, the owner, was welcoming and friendly. He was quick to respond if we had any questions. He even kindly gave us some firewood for our fire pit. The pitches are a good size. Each one has its own power hookup and water supply, adding a nice level of convenience. The new shower and toilet facilities are both clean and spotless! The site offers sea views, and the location is perfect for coastal walks, with scenic trails just a short stroll away, giving us a great way to explore and enjoy nature. There is also a cosy local pub nearby called the Church Bay Inn We also heard that the site is adding some new amenities soon, which will only enhance the experience further. We'll be back one day.
