About Premier Inn Holyhead
Premier Inn's Holyhead branch sits centrally in the town, close to the Stena Line ferry terminal and within walking distance of Penrhos Coastal Park, making it a reliable choice for anyone catching an early crossing to Ireland or arriving late off the boat. It ranks among the better-reviewed hotels on Anglesey on independent review sites, consistent with the chain's usual standards elsewhere in the UK.
Rooms follow the familiar Premier Inn format, with the brand's signature beds, blackout curtains and simple, functional décor, alongside an on-site restaurant for breakfast and evening meals. It suits travellers who want predictable comfort and a guaranteed standard over the individual character of a smaller local hotel.
Its location makes it especially convenient for foot passengers and drivers alike heading for the ferry, while still being close enough to the harbour, shops and station to work as a base for exploring the town and the coast around South Stack.
What guests say
We had a wonderful stay in the Holyhead Premier Inn. Although the outside of the building is stark, the inside is clean and comfortable. We were greeted by a smiling, helpful receptionist, which set the tone for our stay. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable. We ordered the meal deal, which was excellent value. The main meals were delicious, healthy and generous and we repeated the starter of calamari on both nights. We were prepared to pay the £3 supplement for the dessert, but, in the end, were too full to manage it. Breakfast was also extremely good, with perfectly cooked offerings. It was help yourself and would be easy to be greedy, though, to be honest, we appreciate the food much more when we eat just the right amount. My poached eggs were freshly and expertly cooked. All the staff were helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the hotel is perfectly placed for exploring the beautiful area.

We stayed at Premier Inn for a week while attending the Urdd, and we had a wonderful experience. The breakfast every morning was amazing, thanks to Tracy the chef, who consistently provided delicious food cooked to a high standard. Despite how busy it was, Tracy always had a smile and made sure everyone was looked after. Andrea was also a fantastic host. She was friendly, welcoming, and worked incredibly hard to keep everything running smoothly. Even during the busiest times, both ladies remained cheerful, professional, and attentive. Their hard work and positive attitude really made our stay special. Thank you both for making us feel so welcome. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Excellent location for the ferry service. We stayed both before boarding and on on our return from dublin. Particular kudos to Scott and Andrea who were working on the breakfast shift today. Not only was Andrea on reception duty but she also managed to organise everyone having breakfast, cleaning tables, showing people where everything was, (using the toasters in particular) making sure nothing ran out, taking money and all with a very positive and happy demeanour. She was like an efficient whirlwind of activity. Scott was busy cooking the hot breakfast and keeping cheerful under pressure. Thank you to both of them for making our overnight stay and breakfast a positive experience.

Lovely little premier inn. The outside could do with a touch up but inside its locely, very clean and tidy. We got checked in straight away service was fab. We did have our evening meal here and we had an hour wait for our food, I wouldnt say it was particularly busy either, just no staff. The staff that were there were running round doing the best they could though. Highly recommend fab spot just a bit out from the centre but close enough too. Thankyou!
