About The Admiral Rodney Hotel, Horncastle
Horncastle sits at the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds, a market town known for its antique shops and countryside on the doorstep, and it's here on North Street that The Admiral Rodney Hotel is based. The hotel puts guests within easy reach of the town's shops and pubs, while also serving as a base for exploring the wider area.
Rooms are en-suite, with accessible rooms available for those who need them, and a 24 hour reception means arrival times are never a worry. The hotel has its own restaurant on site, so guests can eat without having to venture out, though the town's bars and pubs are close by too for those who fancy a change of scene.
The surrounding area suits anyone keen on the outdoors, with golf, fishing and horse riding all available nearby, alongside entertainment options for evenings in Horncastle itself. It's a practical choice for a stay centred on exploring the Wolds and the town rather than for the hotel as a destination in its own right.
Guests consistently praise this hotel for its comfortable, clean, and spacious rooms, alongside the delicious food featuring a wide variety of menu choices, including vegan options. The friendly and helpful staff, reasonable prices, and pleasant atmosphere are also frequently highlighted by visitors.
Some reviews mention the service can be inattentive.
