Premier Inn Hull City Centre

Used to stay in this hotel all the time when on business. Haven’t been for a while, imagine my surprise when I saw they now have pay for car parking, £7 for 24 hours, ridiculous I was met at reception by Grant a larger than life fantastic guy who was soooo welcoming I had a bit of an incident with my car and he helped me sort things out as best he could. Amazing service from Grant who went over and above the call of duty. Such a nice guy and so helpful, premier in take note

Where do I begin! Arrived at the hotel for work purposes and was appalled by the service and lack of care. The lady on the reception seemed to have no interest in helping me at all and didn't seem to know what she was doing. Booked in for a meal at 6:30, arrived down at 6:20 and was told I would have someone come over to me. 6:45 rolls around, multiple staff member have walked past me and I'm still waiting for my order to be taken, I ended up going to the bar and ordering. I ordered the Big Stack Burger for my meal and it was shocking. Not only did it take a further 25 minutes for food to come out, but the burger was raw! Like it had been threatened with the pan and not even cooked for a minute each side. The lady took it away and I ordered a pizza. By this time it's 7:25 almost, 8pm rolls around and I finally get my pizza. The staff seemed too busy chatting behind the bar and disappeared into the back so everyone was waiting a stupid amount of time because even being seen by a member of staff. There was only 2 ladies who I didn't get the names of that actually knew how to do their job. The heating in my room didn't work at all it looked as if someone had broken the actual panel on the wall and no buttons worked at all. Apart from that small detail, the rest of the room was clean, and smelt lovely. The breakfast isn't anything impressive either, the beans were cold, the eggs were overcooked to the point the yolk had a layer that was like chewing through rubber and the sausages were just about cooked. The pastries and bread were probably the best part about the breakfast. The car park to the right of the building underneath the bypass is awful to get into, be prepared to no doubt scuff your rims or have to do a 6 point turn. The room I was put in overlooked bypass so it was rather noisy at night when everyone was leaving to go home and get places. Overall I wouldn't stay there unless there was no other place to go and I certainly wouldn't eat the food again.

As Premier Inns go, it wasn't too bad. The bed, as always, was very comfortable and the hot breakfast was fantastic. The only issue we had was a musical window that forced us to change rooms. Other than that, it was a mid experience. We paid for the room with a view and it turned out to just be the muddy bank and a mucky car park. The parking is bloody expensive too! I would return as the sleep and food quality is amazing, but I wouldn't recommend paying for the room extras.

Horrible, stayed her for 2 nights with my daughter . Firstly the location is rubbish! Its so hard to work your way around where your going. Secondly all the windows were slightly open (we were on about the 8th floor and it was storming) all you could here was the wind and rain coming through the window and the shower dripping. The woman who worked at the reception was quiet rude. The food was great tho and a very nice lady who worked there was very kind to us !
