The best campsite we've been too! It is adults only though for those with families. Very clean site and facilities and generous pitches. We will definitely be back!

A working farm with a campsite which is totally independent of fossil fuels. Nick and team has the mindset of future proofing their business while helping the environment. That's a team with vision. Solar panels galore, heat exchangers, thermal heating and reefs used to clean soiled water. Excellent facilities for all. Would highly recommend.

Dale farm adult only campsite. What an amazing location. The facilities are absolutely fantastic. The best you will ever come across. Lots of toilets & showers. There’s even an accessible shower. Four big pot washing sinks too. It was our rescue dogs first camping experience. It’s safe to say they love it too. Nick and Joanna are very welcoming and are very helpful with anything you may need. There are lots of walks from the campsite. It’s about 2k walk to Monsal Head where you can walk down and pick up the Monsal Trail. Alternatively it’s around 1k walk to Little Longstone where you can pick up the sign to join the Monsal Trail there. The walk into Bakewell along the trail was most delightful. Especially when you come across Thornbride for a light refreshment! Can’t beat a pint of Jaipur. There’s also a walk from the campsite to Longstone edge. We loved our short stay and will definitely be back to camp here in the future.

A Gem of a Campsite Near the Monsal Trail We stayed for two nights on an XL pitch, which turned out to be far more spacious than we needed — perfect for our Transit Custom campervan and driveway awning, with room to spare. The site is well located and easy to access, making it a great base for exploring the area. Facilities are excellent: all wash, shower, and cleaning amenities are housed in a single block and maintained to a high standard. Bright, clean, and modern — exactly what you hope for after a long day out. Although we didn’t bring our dogs this time, it’s worth noting the site is dog-friendly. The resident farm cat adds a touch of charm, happily greeting guests whenever the mood strikes. The owners are friendly and helpful, and they’ve put together a selection of walking, running, and cycling routes to suit different abilities. We tried the Dale Farm short loop — around 3.5 miles — as a run, and it was a great little route with some cheeky elevation to keep things interesting. The nearby village is just a short walk away and offers two pubs, with a third slightly further afield. I'd recommend booking ahead if you're planning to eat out — they can get busy. Best of all, the site is ideally placed for walking or cycling the Monsal Trail and visiting Bakewell. A brilliant spot for a peaceful break with great access to the Peak District’s highlights.
