What visitors say
A great day out with an almost 3 and almost 10 year old. Highly recommended due to the mix of activities available, from petting and feeding the animals through to playing on equipment and running around. Took home 2 very tired but happy and fun-filled children!

Located on the outskirts of Andover in Hampshire, Finkley Down Farm is a premier award-winning attraction that masterfully blends the heritage of a traditional working farm with the energy of a modern family adventure park. Spanning many acres of rolling countryside, it was one of the first "farm parks" in the UK to open its gates to the public, and it has since become a sophisticated model for rural education and leisure. The landscape of Finkley Down is defined by its intimacy and accessibility. Unlike larger, more industrial agricultural sites, the farm focuses on providing up-close encounters with a diverse range of animals. From the massive, gentle Shire horses to the rare-breed goats and pigs, the farm serves as a vital sanctuary for livestock. The architectural centerpiece is the massive indoor play barn, a high-spec facility that ensures the farm is a year-round destination regardless of the British weather. Outside, the "farmyard" atmosphere is maintained with traditional wooden fencing and expansive paddocks, all set against a backdrop of mature trees and open Hampshire skies. Whether you are bottle-feeding lambs in the spring, watching the famous "meercat" enclosure, or exploring the sprawling outdoor play zones, the farm offers a polished and heartwarming connection to the countryside. Tips for your visit: • The Animal Timetable: Upon arrival, check the daily activity board. The farm runs a rotating schedule of hands-on experiences, including rabbit grooming, pony brushing, and the highly popular lamb feeding sessions. • The Meerkat Mansion: A surprising highlight for a traditional British farm is the resident meerkat colony. The farm hosts daily keeper talks where you can learn about these charismatic animals and watch their social dynamics. • Indoor & Outdoor Balance: If the weather is unpredictable, start with the outdoor trails and the "Finkley Fire Station" play area while it’s dry, then retreat to the massive indoor soft-play area if the clouds roll in. • Local Flavors: The on-site café prides itself on using locally sourced Hampshire produce. It’s a great spot to grab a "Farmer’s Lunch" or a slice of homemade cake while overlooking the paddocks. Finkley Down Farm is a sophisticated, family-focused destination that manages to feel both nostalgic and excitingly modern, celebrating the enduring bond between people and animals. 🐄🚜🐐

Really nice and well maintained farm. Loads to do for the kids. Nice play area inside and outside. Animals seem happy and well cared for. Cafe was also good and nice options for an OK price. Price of the tickets compared to other places (much worse ones ) was fair 👌 👍 We will definitely visit again.

A bit underwhelming.. but it's okay for a day out with a family that has very young children. The souvenir shop is overly expensive and the cup of feed was surprisingly tiny. Overall an OKAY experience. It was nice to pet some of the animals and read the signs.
