About Folly Farm Caravan and Camping Park

Tucked into Hampshire countryside just ten minutes from the South Downs National Park, Folly Farm spreads across level grassy pitches sheltered by mature trees and hedgerows. Families appreciate the playground and games field, while dogs get their own exercise area plus direct footpath access to a local country park. Free hot showers, flushing loos and wifi cover the basics, though some visitors note the facilities can feel a little tired in places.

The real draw is location: Winchester's medieval cathedral, Wolvesey Castle ruins and Jane Austen connections lie fifteen minutes away, while walkers can tackle the ascent to St Catherine's Hill for Iron Age hillfort views or stroll the Itchen water meadows to England's oldest almshouse. Three village pubs serving home-cooked food sit within easy reach – the Crawley option's a twenty-five-minute walk – and the surrounding woodlands offer peaceful trails right from your pitch.

I visited with friends and all our children aswell as our dogs for the 2nd time at the weekend , after our first visit last month we adored the site , it has everything you could want , very clean shower and toilets that are cleaned daily , a little cool box shop in evenings where icecream/ice lollies and cold pop can be purchased , an enclosed field you can let your pooches off for a run with a dog poo bin in aswell as a lovely walk of site thats accessable . Their is a very well maintained park that is checked morning and night for safety before and after it is open and shut from use . The site owners are so friendly and polite nothing is a problem when approached . Their is a car park if needed aswell as a small football area for children away from rhe campers . Our boys spent all weekend playing with others on it . Electric and non electric hook up options .you even have a washing up area to clean all your utensils ect at by the shower block . All in all you can not want for more in a camping experience at all and this weekend was our 2nd out of many more visits, im sure we will make as my children love it there and this mumma has a lovely relaxing time aswell as i know my children are safe and secure on site and i can see them at all times 🥰 Iv already recommended to many of my friends .

Nice little campsite between Bath and Bristol. Both can be reached via a beautiful cycle path. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Viktor would say: There are no problems, only solutions. Well, he helped us very well with the camper when the battery died. He took plenty of time for us in between his work. Absolutely a lovely campsite with a pleasant atmosphere.

Really enjoyed our stay here overall. The site is kept really clean, staff are friendly and helpful, and the check-in process is dead easy, you get your pitch number emailed the day before and just turn up. Flat, well-kept pitches, loads of water points, clean toilets, and food trucks with different options each night which was a nice touch. Dog park was brilliant too. The site felt very secure with the ANPR entry system. A couple of things to be aware of though. The pitches are quite small and close together, so it can get noisy in the evenings and space feels a bit tight. There’s only one toilet block which is a long walk if you’re in the far fields. The showers, whilst clean and powerful enough, are only push button with no temperature control, and lack a bench or suitable storage to stop stuff getting wet. The play park is great for little ones but the “shuts at dusk” rule isn’t really enforced, so don’t bank on it being quiet once it gets dark. A good campsite with a lot going for it, just not quite a 10/10!

Stayed 2 nights at Folly Farm, nice campsite, great playground area for the kids in the back corner, toilets and showers clean enough, campsite is busy but good atmosphere and pizzas on Friday were great. Only negative for our two families was the very firm stance on ball games even to the point we were warned twice by the warden for passing the ball slowly 2metres away to a 2 year old just outside the entrance of our tent, very over the top in our opinion and did put everyone’s back up. I’d understand if footballs were being wacked across the site but definitely a bit more common sense needed as it felt very military like, try telling young kids not to be seen or touching a ball around the vicinity of your tent. May return in the future, thanks.
