Stowford Farm Meadows
Berry Down, Combe Martin, Ilfracombe EX34 0PW, UK
One of Devon's largest touring and camping parks, five miles from Ilfracombe
About Stowford Farm Meadows
Stowford Farm Meadows sprawls across several hundred acres of Berry Down farmland between Ilfracombe and Combe Martin, making it one of the South West's largest family-focused holiday parks. Wide grass touring fields and dedicated tent areas mean even a busy August weekend rarely feels cramped, and the scale brings serious facilities: an indoor heated pool, well-stocked shop, children's play area and peak-season activities. Pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes come with electric hook-ups and modern shower blocks, plus there are a handful of glamping pods and static caravans for those travelling lighter. Dogs are welcome across most touring zones, with dedicated dog-walking fields—a real bonus given the size of the grounds.
The countryside setting puts Ilfracombe and Combe Martin within a short drive, and Woolacombe's beaches and Exmoor's moorland are comfortably close. Some visitors note the site can feel a little tired in places, but its combination of space, amenities and central North Devon position makes it a solid choice for longer family stays with plenty to occupy restless children between coastal days out.

What visitors say
Just back from a long weekend. Facilities for tourers/campers are great. Toilet and shower block immaculately clean. Plenty of things to do. Staff are brilliant. Friendly, helpful and totally run off their feet!! I must mention Maria, she is an absolute star and seems to run most events and entertainment single handedly!\\nI must say though that all areas need more staff, they are run ragged. Unfortunately we had a wait of over an hour for food in the Stable Barn, absolutely no fault of any member of staff just NOT ENOUGH STAFF for it to run smoothly. I think this needs to be addressed for your staffs sake and your customers.\\nAll that said we would recommend a stay and hope to come again soon.

We Stayed during may half term from Sunday to Saturday in the heatwave.\\nWe had a week of two halves!\\nOn arrival it was clear it was very busy and the toilets, showers and public areas were all a bit messy and in need of a clean. The arcade machines were empty and were not restocked for several days.\\nThe Bar was also understaffed and the tables were dirty. The shop was pretty much empty, no basic items available so it was a trip to Tesco.\\nThe swimming pool was on a booking system, we didn't have any issues booking so long as you were 24hrs ahead booking in. The pool area however just needs a really good deep clean as does the changing rooms - This did not improve all week.\\n\\nHowever, From Tuesday afternoon onwards I would say the staff caught up and things started to improve. The toilets were almost always spotlessly clean, Staff were litter picking and tidying and the shop and arcade were restocked.\\n\\nThe chipshop was consistently good. We didn't try the bar food as it seemed a bit overpriced.\\n\\nWe stayed on Field 5, it was lovely and quiet and had some fab views of the countryside.\\n\\nOverall I would return but I would avoid school holidays etc as its clear the size of the place is too big for the facilities.

Love this place. Great setting. Plenty of walks for the dog, great entertainment and on site food eateries. Great pub and overall wonderful place. We have visited many times and have always enjoyed ourselves. The toilet facilities are very clean

Beautifully presented, immaculate, modern cottage. Everything in it we needed. The hot tub is wonderful; used it everyday. It's been checked!\\nThe little shop is rubbish! No newspapers!! No milk and only open till 6pm in June! We arrived a little later than expected and by the time we'd checked in and dropped our bags in, the shop was shut!!\\nCard only, no cash in the park so I will not return as I disagree with this policy wholeheartedly.
