The Meadows
Inverclyde
The Meadows sits on Wemyss Bay Holiday Park, within reach of several islands worth a day trip. Great Cumbrae is a short ferry crossing away, home to the Cathedral of The Isles and ringed by a coastal road. Arran and Bute are both accessible by boat, or you could head inland to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. Largs itself, a traditional seaside resort with a pier and promenade, is a brief drive away. Train links from Wemyss Bay go direct to Glasgow and Edinburgh if you want a city break without the drive.
The lodge is single-storey with everything on one level: three bedrooms (one double, two pairs of singles), a shower room and a separate toilet. Living and dining share an open space with a Smart TV; the kitchen has a gas cooker and the basics for self-catering. Bed linen, towels, heating, electricity and wifi are all included. No smoking inside. One dog can stay free of charge.
A mile down the road is the coast. Within the station complex itself—which doubles as a ferry terminal to Rothesay—there are cafés, takeaways and a pub. The property suits families or groups of six wanting easy access to both seaside walks and island-hopping, with Glasgow an hour away by train if you need it.
