The RSPB Valley Wetlands reserve and Tywyn Trewan Common sit on your doorstep, making this former farm building an obvious choice for birdwatchers and walkers. Holyhead and Anglesey's beaches are within easy reach, and on clear nights the Dark Skies are exceptional. The cottage is single storey, converted from agricultural buildings but fitted with modern heating and plumbing alongside original high ceilings and exposed beams.

Lapwing Cottage has two double bedrooms and a walk-in shower. The open-plan living space includes a wood burner, a 50" television, books and games. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, and a washer dryer handles laundry. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard; logs for the burner are included. Outside, there is lawned garden space with seating, parking for two cars, and a bike store on request. One small dog can stay free, though the garden is unfenced and there is an unfenced pond near the driveway. The approach is via a private, uneven farm track that may not suit cars with very low suspension. No smoking anywhere on the property. Children under five are not suitable for this cottage.

Another lovely week spent at Cerrig Cottages. Everything here that you would need for a relaxing and peaceful break. Mandy and Glenn on hand to offer help and advice on local amenities and wildlife without being intrusive. Great enclosed garden for the dogs. Views across to RSPB lake and Snowdonia too. Wonderful coastline to explore and wildlife to spot. Already planning another visit...

We had an absolutely fantastic 10/10 stay at Cerrig Cottages. The hosts are genuinely kind, caring and generous people who go out of their way to ensure you have the best experience. The cottage had anything we could ever want and more. The area was rural which meant it was an idyllic location to really relax and put your feet up, but is only a hop skip and a jump to any activity you could wish to do on the island. We’ll definitely be recommending Cerrig Cottages to family and friends and would love to come and stay again. We couldn’t fault it if we tried!

Mandy and Glen have created a lovely, tranquil, peaceful retreat, amongst the wilds of Anglesey. Much thought has been put into making the cottage comfortable, well equipped and welcoming. If you can’t see what you want - ask. Sorry we never spotted the shower mat 😳 If, like us, you like birds and wildflowers, this will be perfect. The RSPB lake and surrounds are perfect for quiet walks and meditation. Following the previous three years, just what was required… and breathe! Mind you, it’s about time Glen allowed Mandy to have a turn on the sit-on mower 😉 One to visit again…

Absolutely perfect location for exploring all that Anglesey has to offer. Mandy and Glen have worked really hard to create a beautiful place to stay, the cottage is immaculate and contains everything you need when away from home. Stunning views towards snowdonia and a lovely lake within view and walking distance from the cottage. Would definitely recommend as a perfect place to stay.
