Escape2Anglesey-Tan Goeden is a shepherd's hut sleeping two on the Isle of Anglesey, facing a pond in its own grounds. The single open-plan space contains a double bed that folds away to reveal seating, a woodburner for cooler evenings, and an induction hob for basic cooking. A cubicle shower and toilet complete the main hut. One dog can stay free, though it must remain on a lead among the resident sheep, ducks, chickens and geese that roam the surrounding fields and beyond.
A separate external kitchen building adds real practicality: it has a full-size oven, microwave, grill, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, plus a generous sink and storage for crockery and utensils. A balcony with seating and a barbecue overlooks the pond. Essentials like bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included; electricity is metered. There is parking for one car on site and a shared electric vehicle charging point. The owners provide a welcome bottle of prosecco, bara brith, Welsh cakes, tea, coffee and milk, plus fresh chicken eggs collected daily from the property's hens.
Anglesey's 125 miles of coastline lie within easy reach, with beaches and coastal paths nearby. The property suits couples or small families wanting a rural, animal-friendly base. There is a pond 25 yards from the hut. No smoking is permitted.

We had a truly magical two-night stay in this beautifully decorated Shepherd's Hut, which was full of lovely personal touches. Sally and Charles were wonderful hosts who made us feel so welcome and looked after us throughout our stay. The hut had everything we needed, and the amazing welcome hamper was such a thoughtful surprise. We especially loved the fresh eggs laid by the chickens roaming around outside, along with the delicious Welsh goodies and a bottle of Prosecco. The pull-down bed was extremely comfortable, and we both slept really well. One of our favourite moments was sitting in the orchard watching the sun go down while the ducks swam in the pond, the geese and hens wandered around, and the donkeys, ponies, and sheep grazed peacefully in the nearby field. It was such a relaxing and idyllic setting. We absolutely loved our stay and can't recommend it highly enough. Thank you, Sally and Charles, for your warm hospitality—we'd love to come back!

We have just come home from a beautiful stay here. What a cottage!! There were so many little touches, from a very gorgeous hamper - with fresh eggs!! The cottage has EVERYTHING you need! For us it was home from home. Charles, couldn't do enough for us, extremely friendly and such a very perfect host. There are gorgeous animals - the donkeys love carrots!!! It genuinely was the perfect stay, Charles and Sally have created a calm, peaceful space for everyone wanting that time away!! If I could give more stars I would!! Thank you! We will be returning. We stayed in the Shepherd’s hut for 4 nights in January 2026 and couldn’t have been better looked after. We had booked a short break after losing our dog. Charles and Sally were so kind and sensitive to our loss. Waking up to geese, ducks and chickens outside our hut each morning was wonderful. Sally showed us how to groom Annie and Rose the donkeys, we even took them for a walk! Charles and Sally are fantastic hosts and their Shepherd’s hut was equipped with everything we needed. Each day we would walk along the Anglesey coastal path, the scenery is phenomenal. Thank you for a great stay, we can’t wait to come and stay again! Nicola and Phil

This is our third visit and never disappoints. Sally and Charles are amazing hosts with great hospitality. Always making us feel genuinely welcome and creating a warm and comfortable stay. The cottage oozes character with a real attention to detail. Impeccably clean throughout and finished to an incredibly high standard, uncompromising on quality with John Lewis items throughout that provides a touch of luxury. The very generous welcome hamper is one of the best we have ever received, full of delicious, yummy treats. Very thoughtful and much appreciated. There are an abundance of stunning coastal walks with many secluded beaches. All with a story to tell. A beautiful island to explore. We never want to leave. A very highly recommended retreat.
