Photo: Hen Ysgol

Hen Ysgol is a former schoolhouse on the northern edge of Anglesey, surrounded by its own grounds and meadows with views toward the sea. The detached property has five bedrooms spread across two floors: downstairs, one bedroom with two single beds and a shower room; upstairs, two doubles, two singles, and a bathroom with bath and shower. Two living spaces, each with a smart TV, give flexibility for larger groups—one has an open fire, the other electric heating. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking from scratch, and there's a separate utility room with washer-dryer and extra fridge-freezer space.

The enclosed gardens include a patio with furniture and an apple and plum orchard. Wi-Fi, bed linen, and electricity are included; heating is oil-fired with a weekly supplement. The property suits families or groups of friends, and one dog is welcome. A car park is on site. Note that the stairs are steep and narrow. The nearest shop is half a mile away. Beaches and Snowdonia are within reasonable reach, and the location offers genuine quiet: the building stands in genuine isolation within countryside.

We had such a lovely time. Its a beautiful home, stunning views. Peaceful and tranquil. Close to the coast. I would highly recommend. We have booked to go back again.

An amazing cottage with so much space. We came to spend quality time with family we rarely see. We travelled from Leicester and they travelled from Cornwall. It is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and tranquil here. The sea view is a wow factor and plenty of parking for multiple cars. Everything you need and more. Thank you Sian for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage. I’m sure we will return soon

This cottage is in a superb location and made a fantastic holiday for us all. Countryside, nature, walking, running and close to the shore for outdoor activities, large and spacious for when you dont venture out. The host could not be nicer too - heartily recommend.

Great location for exploring the island. Large garden, lovely kitchen and living room is a decent size too. We had 5 adults and dogs in there and didn’t feel cramped. Little snug has a lovely warm open fire if you want a cozy night.
