About Callanish Camping

Callanish Camping offers glamping, static lodges and pods on the Isle of Lewis in the Hebrides. The Callanish Stones, one of Scotland's most significant prehistoric monuments, are within walking distance. The site sits on an island known for dramatic coastal scenery and moorland landscapes that are accessible on foot or by short drive.

Facilities include showers. Accommodation starts from £40 per night. The Isle of Lewis has a scattering of villages, beaches and a working lighthouse nearby, making this a base for exploring some of Scotland's remotest terrain without the commitment of tent camping.

What visitors say

The camping is set in a beautiful environment. The pods are well equipped, and the bathroom and washing facilities are kept very clean and well maintained. There is also hot water available for showers, which cost 20 cents for 2 minutes or £1 for 10 minutes. Overall, a very comfortable and pleasant stay!

Very well equipped camping pod. Best nights sleep I had on my entire trip, so peaceful and tranquil. Great info before arrival, everything was clear and straightforward.

Wow. 2nd visit to the pods and I cannot say enough good things about the experience. Great pods, exceptional location, warm and cosy, equipped with everything you could need. Peace and quiet and the loch out the front is great for bird watching.

We stayed in the larger of the camping pods and loved every minute of it! The pod is well equipped, lots of space to live in and very combatable indeed. The location is excellent, we had mixed weather and loved that too. Sunrises and sunsets, lots of rainbows and even a moonbow! We love the stone circles with three of them within walking distance of the pod so we spent loads of time there. We highly recommend staying here and we will be back loads of times, we loved it.
