Luxury ensuite and off grid safari tents set in private meadows, just a mile from Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight.

About Glamping the Wight Way

Tucked into private meadows just a mile from Yarmouth, Glamping the Wight Way offers a choice between luxury ensuite safari tents and off-grid pitches that let you disconnect completely. The site's near-perfect rating reflects its thoughtful setup: each tent enjoys generous space and seclusion, with proper facilities including showers and drinking water on hand. Families appreciate the relaxed meadow setting, though note that pets aren't permitted.

The location puts you within easy reach of Freshwater's dramatic coastline and the western Wight's walking routes, while Yarmouth's harbour and ferry connections are practically on your doorstep. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy a genuinely peaceful few nights under canvas without sacrificing comfort – though you'll need to plan ahead if you're reliant on WiFi, as there isn't any on site.

Lovely holiday at Glamping the Wight Way. Great location on the best part of the Island (in our opinion!). The safari tents were great, well equipped and very functional with lovely little touches to add to the comfort. There was loads of space around them for kids or adults to play! Really enjoyed our break here

We had the best time at Glamping the Wight Way. We moored up our rib on the owners jetty which made our transport there super easy and fun. The kids loved playing outside the safari tent, we toasted marshmallows, cooked breakfast and enjoyed the peace and quiet. We had also booked the Hut for dinner and they picked us up and dropped us back to the which was very handy. The accommodation is perfect and really comfortable. We all enjoyed the outside shower too. I would recommend staying to anyone and can’t wait to book again!

Had a lovely stay at glamping the wight way with my children. The safari tents are clean and well appointed with beautiful views. We were the only people on site so it was lovely and quiet. Beds are comfy and warm. The solar battery was good enough for phone charging and the lights. The outdoor shower is a lovely experience. We have stayed 3 times now as we love it so much. We were a but disappointed that the bath no longer has a woodburner for the hot water, that was always a fabulous experience for us. The gas fired boiler stopped working on our last night so no hot water that night or the morning we left which was disappointing. We were offered the use of the shower of an empty safari tent but didn't feel comfortable using it. We had an issue with the woodburner but that was sorted and an issue with the fire alarm going off due to low battery but again that was sorted quickly so good customer service.

Excellent site. The tents are so well equipped - glamping is certainly the right description. Lots of lovely touches by the owners - leaving condiments etc. Beds are so comfy! Kids loved it......highly recommended.
