About Camp Tapnell
Set near Yarmouth on the western tip of the Isle of Wight, Camp Tapnell is part of a working farm park that keeps families thoroughly entertained. Visitors rave about the sheer variety of activities on offer – animal encounters, go-karts, and an aqua park mean you can easily fill a whole day without leaving the site. The facilities are kept spotlessly clean and staff are genuinely helpful, making it especially welcoming for families with young children.
Accommodation comes in the form of glamping cabins, with dog-friendly options available so the whole family can join in. While there's no WiFi, that's rather the point – this is a place to switch off and let the kids loose. Good value for money and plenty to do make it a solid Isle of Wight base for active families.

What visitors say
A brilliant all round family day out with loads to do, great organisation and something for every age. We visited Tapnell Farm on the Isle of Wight and it was such a great day out for the family. The indoor area has been upgraded since we last came and it makes a big difference, loads more to do and really well set up. There are so many different activity zones that the kids can easily spend an hour in each one without getting bored. It feels like a full day out rather than somewhere you rush around. Everything is really well organised as well. The show times and animal feeding times are clearly communicated which helps you plan your day, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We also really enjoyed the Easter codeword search that was running, it was a great touch and gave us something fun to do as we moved around the site. The only downside for us was that the outdoor water inflatable park was not open as it is only available in the summer months, so we will definitely be coming back to try that. There are also some newer activities like paddle court, foot golf and a frisbee game which looked great, although I do not think they are included in the entry price. Overall though, a fantastic place for families and one we would happily return to.

My son absolutely loved coming here! Theres plenty to do! Go karts, slides, trampolines, inflatable obstacles, basket ball hoops, a park/trimtrail, bouncy pillows, and of course animals! We had a lovely experience feeding the wallabies. 😊 Definitely worth the money, and has the option to get in for free with a carers card.

Cannot rate this place highly enough. We attended on a Saturday, we arrived 20 minutes after opening and parked easily. We visited every area of the park barring the park barring the restaurant as we had brought picnic. With an 11 year old and a 16 month old in tow there was actually something to do for everyone. When we arrived and for most of our stay the weather was very warm and we used our sun lotion and sunglasses, 5 hours later a downpour had us playing crazy golf in our macs. The toilets and all areas were clean. Each animal area had well stocked hand cleaning stations. Every staff member was polite and engaging. The go carts, toboggan, football shootout, bouncing pillows, outside playpark, indoor playpark, golf, soft play, beach, ride on tractors, every single thing is included. Highlight of the day, feeding the wallabies! Thank you to Tapnell Park team for giving us such a wonderful experience!
