Perfectly peaceful and well equipped yurts with beautiful sea views and easy access to the IOW coastal footpath.

About New Bank End Farm Certificated Site

This clifftop spot near St Lawrence offers five well-equipped yurts with gorgeous sea views and direct access to the Isle of Wight coastal path. Each yurt comes with proper creature comforts – hot showers, flushing loos, and drinking water on tap – plus you're welcome to light campfires in the designated areas. The site stays open all year, making it a reliable base for exploring the island's quieter southern edge.

Note that pets aren't permitted, which helps maintain the peaceful atmosphere but rules it out for those travelling with dogs. The lack of WiFi might feel limiting for some, though many find it refreshing to properly switch off with those sea views as distraction enough.

Have just spent a blissful week in one of the cottages with my family. Good sized rooms, a stones throw from the beech and very close to the lovely Steephill cove. Loads to do for my little nieces, badminton, mini golf, ponies etc.. we liked it so much we have already booked next year's visit.

Love, love, love this place! As a family of 9, we have stayed in the adjoining cottage(s) every other year for several years now and have been blessed by amazing facilities, superb cleanliness and perfect location each time. If you're intending to work during your stay and need internet access, the wifi is rather poor - not a problem at all for us, it was a great way to keep the kids off their phones! The activities available are amazing and in good condition (four table tennis tables, in particular were very popular with us and the other holidaymakers) and the short walk to Steephill Cove is achievable by most in 10 minutes. Another 10 minutes will get you to Ventnor, although this will be trickier for the less able due to the uneven ground and copious steps. The coastal path in the other direction will surprise you with hidden coves and an abundance of wildlife, so you're really 'away from it all' and unavoidably able to relax and enjoy the unspoilt surroundings of the south of the island. We loved the sea views from our living room and enjoyed watching the cruise liners sailing round the island most evenings, along with seeing a wide range of birds and dozens of lizards! In terms of accessibility to the rest of the island, you can reach anywhere within about 40 minutes by car. Ventnor has a wide range of shops and a Tesco express, although expect to travel to larger areas like Newport for bigger shops - we pre-ordered a Click & Collect tesco delivery there and were back within the hour. Ventnor is a great place to go to for pubs, bars and restaurants - we heartily recommend the Spyglass Inn, although you can't prebook. We also enjoyed the White Mouse Inn (which does take bookings), but we've heard of plenty more super places to dine and enjoy a drink... We're in the process of booking our next stay already...what's not to love?!

Stayed in the 8 person barn conversion for a week. Good layout, 3 WC’s 1 with tub & 1 with shower. Nice view. A tad too much dust & cobwebs, could do with mattress protectors that stay on & pillow protectors. Wi-fi needs sorting. Not much to ask for the rental price. Would visit again.

Lovely, friendly location with plenty to do as a family ( hammocks, play tent, badminton net, etc). Well looked after with access to the resident miniture pony and donkey who love fuss. Everything is readily available which you will need for glamping- cups, cutlery, pans, lamps etc. Only issues are the multiple deep 'hidden' pot holes in the grass area around the tents which need filling- especially towards the communial kitchen. The double mattress was on a single base which made for interesting nights trying not to tip partner when getting out of bed at night lol.
