Westgate Cottage comes with the essentials already sorted: bed linen, towels, wifi and heating are all included, so you arrive to a ready-made base rather than a to-do list. The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, electric cooker and microwave, which means cooking and laundry are straightforward rather than a hassle. Four bedrooms sleep eight—two doubles and two twin rooms—plus a single bathroom with a bath and separate toilet, making it workable for a larger group or family.

The cottage sits in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight's southern coast, where the countryside rolls down to dramatic coastal walks. Steephill Cove is nearby, the Botanical Gardens are close at hand, and Ventnor's Victorian esplanade runs along the seafront. A fully enclosed and lawned garden comes with furniture and a barbecue, giving you outdoor space to relax in. Parking for two cars is on site. One well-behaved dog can stay free. The property does not permit smoking.
