Folly View

Island Harbour Marina sits on the Medina river between Newport and Cowes, a location that appeals equally to sailors and walkers. The hamlet of Binfield, where it sits, is central enough to reach the Isle of Wight's main attractions within minutes, yet far enough away from the bustle to feel separate. Folly View is a first-floor apartment here, sleeping four across two bedrooms, with the whole place to yourself.

The main living space is open-plan, flowing from the sitting area (which has a smart TV and Netflix) through the dining zone to a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven and hob, fridge-freezer, and a breakfast bar. One bedroom contains a double bed; the other has two single beds. A walk-in shower and toilet serve the property. Both the front and rear Juliet balconies face towards the marina and the river beyond. Electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included. There is on-site parking for one car, and smoking is not permitted inside.

The marina itself has a restaurant and bar with al fresco seating overlooking the water, and from here you can walk into Whippingham, East Cowes or Newport. The county town offers shops, restaurants, live music venues, a theatre and cinema all within a ten-minute drive. If you've brought a boat, visitor moorings are available at the marina.
