Hoy Retreats - Hoy Hideaway

Isle of Wight

St Catherine's Down and the surrounding National Trust estate offer immediate access to walking trails that cross open countryside and lead toward the historic Hoy Monument. Red squirrels, badgers and barn owls inhabit the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty here. A short drive reaches Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor with their beaches, seafronts and attractions; Alum Bay and the Needles are also within reasonable reach.

Hoy Hideaway is one of two rural cabins on the property, accessed via a rough track. Inside, everything is on the ground floor. The living space combines a sitting area, kitchen and dining zone, with French doors opening onto a private deck that faces the Down. A wood burner heats the cabin alongside electric central heating. The kitchen handles proper cooking—electric hob, fridge, microwave and air fryer are all there. One bedroom has a double bed, the other has two singles. A single shower room completes the layout. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and the wood for the burner are all included.

The grassed garden has a barbecue and sitting area; parking for two cars is on site. One dog can stay free. The cabin does not permit smoking.
