Jersey packs a great deal into a small island, and its attractions reflect a history shaped by war, farming and the sea as much as its beaches. Gorey is worth building a day around, with Mont Orgueil Castle rising over the harbour and Channel Islands Military Museum close by for those interested in the Occupation years, a theme continued more fully at Jersey War Tunnels.
Families tend to gravitate towards Pirates Cove Adventure Park, Kia Ora Minifarm and Creepy Valley Activity Centre, while Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust offers a slower, more absorbing visit built around conservation rather than spectacle. For older history, La Hougue Bie's Neolithic tomb sits at the other end of the timescale entirely.
