Great first visit. Well maintained grounds, very relaxing to explore. The restaurant and refreshments offered great variety, home cooked, great quality, much enjoyed. These are available to enjoy separately to the arboretum admission. There's lots of future events, I'd recommend checking these out online for info... Overall lovely to visit, we'll be returning soon 😁

I used to come here more regularly when my children were small, so it was particularly nice to come back and shoot a wedding - it's a beautiful venue in the loveliest of surroundings overlooking the lake. The cafe centre is perfect for events, as a light filled and airy space with it's circular design ideal for adapting to different seating/table layouts and a generous dancefloor. The wedding couple and guests clearly had the best time.

A glorious escape into nature especially on a warm sunny day at the end of May. We had a lovely time relaxing on benches, taking in the views and vistas, enjoying the wildlife and curious trees and shrubs. The flowering dogwoods and the laburnum tunnel were fabulous. The ice creams were fantastic too. Entry was great value for money. Would thoroughly recommend if you need to get away from it all and chill. A beautiful place indeed! Those with mobility issues can easily get from the car park to the cafe, toilets and lake. But further on it would be tricky, but the view across the lake from the outdoor cafe seating is pretty great.

A beautiful start to the day! I arrived at 9:15am apx on a Sunday. They don't open until 10 but I was able to take a walk on the cafe grounds find a seat and take in the beautiful rising song from the birds. It was fantastic! The staff were lovely and very welcoming. They showed me the bathroom and map of the Arboretum and explained I didn't have to pay to sit and enjoy the views from the cafe. On this visit I didn't walk the trail as it started to rain but I most definitely will on our next visit.
