About Sandwath Farm
Tucked just under a mile from Kirkby Stephen on the edge of both the Yorkshire Dales National Park and North Pennines National Landscape, Sandwath Farm offers a handful of beautifully appointed pods, each with its own private hot tub. Inside you'll find a double bed, ensuite bathroom and mini kitchen with all the utensils you need, plus heating to keep things cosy. Bedding and towels are provided, and there's a barbecue and firepit outside for those evenings when you'd rather stay put than venture into town.
The location is a dream for walkers and cyclists, with trails threading through spectacular Pennine scenery right from the doorstep. When you do fancy heading out, Kirkby Stephen has a good spread of pubs, cafés and shops, including a butcher and small supermarket. Back on site, the farm shop runs a café serving breakfasts, lunches and sweet treats—handy if you can't be bothered to cook. It's a peaceful, remote spot that strikes a lovely balance between proper escape and having everything you need within easy reach.

Amazing!!! Our stay at Sandwath farm was perfect. From the 1st contact with Stuart everything was flawless. We loved everything about this cabin and we will 100% be returning soon. There is a lovely farm shop on site too which sells gorgeous produce from the farm and there’s a little cafe! We loved waking up to the animals across from us every morning and the hot tub was amazing. I would recommend this whole heartedly. Stuart even let me get some birthday decorations delivered to his home which he then put up for me so massive thanks again to Stuart for doing that. Thank you to Rob one of the farmers also who let me bottle feed his lambs🤍.

I recently stayed in a camping pod at Sandwath Farm and had an incredible experience. The pod was nature-friendly, blending perfectly with its surroundings, and was impeccably neat and clean. The views were absolutely breathtaking, offering a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The highlight of the stay was the hot tub – the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the scenery. I highly recommend this getaway to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating escape! Special thanks to Stuart (the owner), who was incredibly helpful and ensured everything was perfect during our stay.

Me and my partner came here for our anniversary, we both absolutely loved it and will definitely be returning here again! We stayed in the Smardale Lodge it had everything you needed and more! The hot tub was the highlight, stayed lovely and warm on the cold winter evenings and also enjoyed seeing the animals on the farm also! Can’t wait to return next year! 🫶🏻
