A real shame to be honest. I stayed for 2-nights but but had to leave early one morning. The owners predominantly want to be paid in cash, (not sure why), and I forgot to settle up. So when I got home I messaged them to ask if they want me to move the money or come back with cash. (I only live 20-mins down the road). They got back to me over 24-hours later with their bank details. I was about 2-hours away from home, so out of courtesy I sent a message to say I would be back home later. To then get a response along the lines of, 'I want paying promptly', was really disappointing. But notwithstanding this, the facilities were pretty shabby, and I didn't even put my tent up and just slept in the car because the ground was too soggy. Although mother nature obviously shared a lot of the blame. I won't be returning. Sad, because while I'm out walking in Bowland, I often have my tent with me.

Booked last minute host was very friendly and happy to help we stayed two nights and cheep. Also do electric hook ups in some of the camping fields. I didn’t have a electric connector so the host kindly said they had a spare that I could use(I didnt have the plug socket so decided not to use the electric hook up) the host kindly said that if we needed our phones charging that she would charge them at the house if needed. Basic toilets and electric showers( don’t need anything fancy if you’re camping tbh) drinking water tap near communal toilets/showers. friendly cat and friendly horses and goats and even some peacocks wondering around. Beautiful views of pendal hill/(walking paths up pendal hill) and surrounding farmland walking paths near the campsite and half an hour’s walk or so to the local village/can fallow walking trails across some fields as a short cut to the local village instead of walking down the narrow country lanes

What a beautiful sunset in March. You can’t get a better site for 360 degree views. And nice and friendly hosts. Definitely recommend 😉 and close to a good pub too. We will be back soon. John and Brenda

Perfect little site for those wanting to be near Clitheroe or just as a stop off. Very basic facilities, but as so many CLs don't have anything, we were very glad for what they did have! Owners very pleasant, friendly amd helpful - can't ask for more. Calf's Head pub is very close and very nice indeed. Will certainly return.
