Melrose

Clitheroe is a working market town in the Ribble Valley with independent shops, restaurants and cafés within easy reach. Melrose is a four-bedroom house that sleeps six, set back from the town centre but close enough to walk to it. The whole place is yours alone, and one well-behaved pet can stay free of charge.

Downstairs, a living room has a multi-fuel burner and smart TV, while the dining room seats six. The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking—gas oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge and microwave—or you can order in from nearby restaurants. A ground-floor bathroom has a bath with shower over it, plus a separate toilet. Upstairs are four bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed, one double, and two singles. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with wifi and heating throughout.

Outside, there is parking for two cars on the drive, an enclosed rear garden with patio for sitting out, and a front garden. The house accepts no smoking. It suits families and groups wanting their own space in a town location, whether to explore the Ribble Valley or simply have a base without the bother of a hotel.
