Holiday park in Morecambe with caravans, sea views, pool and on-site dining and entertainment.
About Ocean Edge Leisure Park
Morecambe's seafront draws families and holidaymakers with its wide bay and traditional seaside appeal. Ocean Edge Leisure Park sits on this stretch with static caravans and views out to sea. The park has a pool, hosts live shows and entertainment, and runs its own restaurant and bar on the grounds, so you can eat without leaving the site. A small grocery shop is just a few steps away.
Pitches come with showers on site. The park is known for welcoming dogs and for keeping children occupied with its entertainment programme and facilities. Staff are noted for being friendly and helpful. Some visitors have found the facilities more limited than at larger parks, so it is worth checking what matters to you before booking. The casual, modest feel suits people after straightforward seaside stays rather than luxury resort experiences.

What visitors say
Dont bother paying for a "Gold" caravan, the pictures show the state. Looks nothing like advertised on the website. The large mirror fell off the wall and almost landed on my 11 year old daughters head. Curtains hanging of, blinds ripped, radiator leaking. I have added just some pictures of the pictures to show how badly maintained it was. I contacted customer service after my stay as we just wanted to enjoy our holiday without going to reception everytime we came across an issue. The customer service team was not interested at all as we did not mention it while we was there. I explained that my child and husband have aditional needs so this would of caused more distress having people inspect the caravan. A resolution was not provided other than "feedback will be shared". No compassion or concern was shown at all about the fact that not everyone is comfortable complaining at the time in person. Spend your money somewhere else that will actually appreciate it.

We had an absolutely fantastic holiday at Parkdean Resorts Ocean Edge Holiday Park and the entertainment team truly made it unforgettable! Every single member of the team worked so hard to keep everyone smiling, laughing and involved from morning until night. The energy, enthusiasm and professionalism they brought to every activity and evening show was amazing. They made both children and adults feel welcome and included, and you could tell how passionate they are about what they do. The shows were brilliant, the games were so much fun, and there was always a great atmosphere around the park. A special thank you to the whole entertainment team Liam, Megan, Ella, Lauren and Freya for going above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable. You are all a real credit to the park and the reason we would happily return again. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a fun, friendly and memorable holiday! X Also a big shout out to Jolly Josh, drinks server/glass collector in the show bar your a star! X

Honestly this holiday was very in the middle. The caravan itself was fine, it was clean and had all you could need, however the bedrooms are very small and mattresses falling apart. The views from the site are brilliant, apart from the beach itself stinks, and you cannot use it as with all beaches in Morecambe they are just pure mud and quicksand. We paid for a few different activities for the kids and they were all based around a video screen playing a video for the kids to interact with, instead of the staff actually hosting them. For example we did messy play and it was all based from a video and the member of staff was just there to give you the paint and paper. Its not worth the money so would completely advise to not book onto these activities as they are just a money making scheme. The arcade was awful, most machines did not work, and we lost roughly £6-£8 on machines swallowing coins, or not dispensing balls, all were reported to staff but was never offered to be compensated, they just said theyd look into it and dismissed us as quickly as possible. The reception has a horrible smell when you walk in, I am guessing it is from the drains or the swimming pool but its bad. The restaurant is extremely slow so beware. There was one poor girl who I felt like was there all week (but I could have been wrong) I feel extremely sorry for her as she was trying her best, but was alone almost all of the time, trying to serve, make drinks, clear tables and run food all by herself. Park Dean really need to use some of their money on things that are needed. The restaurant is also very expensive, there is a pub at the end of the road which is about 30 quid cheaper to eat at. The whole site needs a bit of TLC and I must preface this by saying we did come about 2 weeks before season starts so this could have been the reason for the poor quality on things. However I would seriously recommend looking elsewhere or going with a Haven site. Overall we would try a different park Dean site, but would not return to this one.
