The Old Hat Factory stands on working farmland between Lancaster and the Forest of Bowland, converted from its industrial past into a private retreat. From the hot tub in the garden you look out across Quernmore Valley; the same views reach into the open-plan ground floor where a woodburner faces the windows. Upstairs, the bedroom holds a freestanding bath positioned to frame those same hills, with a shower room next door.
The kitchen has what you need to self-cater properly—electric cooker, microwave, fridge and washer-dryer. WiFi, heating, linen and towels are covered. Two cars fit in the private parking; the garden has patio seating. No smoking throughout.
Walking starts almost on the doorstep: Clougha Pike lies under a mile away, Williamson Park three miles, and the limestone scenery of Ingleton and the Yorkshire Dales is eighteen miles north. Lancaster town, four miles south, holds the castle and full high street amenities. The coast at Morecambe reaches eight miles; the Lake District proper begins around Kendal at 27 miles. The nearest pub and shop are two and a half miles away.
