The Venture Centre

Our recent Scout trip to the Venture Centre was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited to our group’s needs, providing a great base for our adventure. The food was plentiful, tasty, and well-prepared – ideal for hungry Scouts after a day full of activities! The activities were the real highlight – fun, well-organised, and just the right mix of challenge and excitement. From outdoor pursuits to team-building exercises, there was something for everyone, and the Scouts had an amazing time. A huge thank you to the staff, who were incredibly friendly, supportive, and clearly experienced with youth groups. They made the whole experience run smoothly and ensured everyone felt safe and included. We wouldn’t hesitate to return – highly recommended for any Scout group looking for an active and memorable trip!

We took a group of scouts from Ireland to camp in the Isle of Man for a week and we did three days of activities in the Venture Centre. The instructors couldn’t have been more friendly, encouraging and accommodating. The facilities are top class. Our scouts made memories that will last a lifetime here. Highly recommend it for any group visiting Ramsey!

I came here on a school trip circa 1987. It's a family business and when I went back to see it today, the son of one of my instructors(!) allowed us to take a look around. I have fond recollections of the place. Full of adventures. I shed a little tear with the memories it brought back. Many thanks to the son who showed us around the place even though it was closed.

A great place to stay on a tight budget. A bit rough around the edges and run down but for £15 for the room plus an extra £4:50 each for breakfast if you want it( which is very much worth having ) friendly staff, games room and TV. Nice atmosphere on an evening with BBQ in the yard. We used it to watch the Classic TT and its super handy for the goose neck which is only 3 miles away up a very narrow side road. Highly recommended.
