About Premier Inn Leeds South Birstall

Free on-site parking is one of the practical draws at Premier Inn Leeds South Birstall, a straightforward hotel on Wakefield Road with easy access to the M62 for reaching Leeds city and the surrounding business parks. Spread across two floors, the hotel has 60 en-suite rooms with accessible options available, along with 24 hour reception and an electric vehicle charge point for those travelling by car.

Rooms are generally well kept and quiet, making this a reliable choice for a settled night's sleep, though a few guests have noted the temperature can run cold, so it's worth requesting extra bedding if needed. The on-site restaurant serves breakfast and evening meals, with meal deals that guests have found good value, and drinks can be ordered to the room. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, which smooths over the practical side of a stay.

Beyond the hotel, the area offers golf, fishing, horse riding and entertainment nearby, plus a pub or bar within easy reach for an evening out. It suits both business travellers using the nearby business parks and those wanting straightforward access into Leeds itself.

Great location, I had a decent view from my window. The room was a good size with all the usual Premier Inn facilities. The bathroom was clean, maintained and everything worked as it should. Check-in was fast and easy. Most Premier Inns do not have a lift ( as far as I'm aware) so you have to carry your bags up, which is fine. The restaurant was pleasantly comfortable and the food choice was the standard generic menu that tries to cater for all tastes without offering anything to risky. The restaurant and reception staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, if you regularly stay at these hotels, like I do, you know exactly what to expect from this brand and sometimes, that familiarity is what you need when away from home.

My daughter and I stayed on Friday night and had the meal deal. Both rooms spotlessly clean ( although the toilet cistern in my room was overfilling and as a result the overflow was active all night...sounded like someone going to the toilet..didn't disturb me once I was asleep but others may find it necessary to complain). Food was very tasty and the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. We would stay again if we had to come to Leeds again.

The best thing about this hotel was the member of staff called Sami, a real credit. Sami was attentive to all our needs, was interested in our plans and local advise. Please pass on our thanks. The hotel itself was clean, tidy, presentable, easily accessible. We went back 😊 On route to the Lake District just because of the service we received previously. Sami remembered us and provided excellent service again… so much so we have booked to stay there on our way home…
