About High Walks Farm

Grab your partner (or a best friend) and escape to this peaceful adults-only retreat in the Lincolnshire countryside, halfway between Lincoln and Newark-on-Trent. High Walks Farm's handful of motorhome pitches nestle in a woodland glade overlooking fields and paddocks, where retired horses graze contentedly – admire them from a distance, but please don't feed them or let dogs disturb their peace.

The real draw here is the proximity to exceptional wildlife havens. Whisby Nature Park, a flooded former quarry just five minutes away, hosts warblers, sand martins and terns, while RSPB Langford Lowfields (10 minutes) offers kingfisher and egret sightings, though dogs aren't permitted there. Closer to site, Tunman Wood's bluebell meadows and Besthorpe's wetlands provide lovely walks for you and your four-legged friend.

After a day exploring, nip to Aubourn's village pub for pie and a pint, or try the eateries in nearby Witham St Hughs and Bassingham. It's a simple, remote setup – portable facilities and chemical disposal – but the tranquility and rural setting more than compensate.

Lovely little farm!! Play area inside and out. Shop plus cafe serving gifts and food. We pre booked as spaces go really quick. They do Goat walking and a tractor ride. My kids all loved it ❤️

My young cousins and I love this place, there is so much space and freedom with lots to do! We do as much as we can while we are there! The cafe is reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and feeding the animals is great fun. My cousin loves the different play areas! Always a great day out!

Went just me & the wife, it feels more like a kids play park with some animals to look at rather than a farm. Not much variety the pens were spread out but not much in them 1 pen had 1 sheep the other had 2 sheep. Turkeys & ducks. Just felt a bit disappointing. But if you have kids I'm sure they will enjoy the play areas. The barn was ok but small, it housed donkeys, ponies, goats, Alpacas.

Cracking place, visited on a Saturday, just me and my 3 year old grandson, really reasonable prices, £1 for a tractor ride with which you get a bucket of spuds to feed the cows, loads to do, both indoors and out. The grandson was entertained for a good half a day no problem, took him on the nature trail towards the end of our visit which tired him out for a sleep on our hours drive home. Only stumbled across the place, not overly busy, even for a Saturday, you can either take your own picnic which we did or there is a cafe onsite which when I looked was really reasonable and looked decent food. I assumed it had only recently opened with the newness of the place but on looking it’s about 10 years old so they’ve obviously invested and updated the place along the way. We’ll definitely be back for another day out at some point, great value for money and lots and lots to keep the kid’s entertained
