About The Skipworth Arms

Behind a lively community pub three miles from Market Rasen, this family-run site spreads across five acres of Lincolnshire countryside with the Wolds on the doorstep and Lincoln's cathedral just 25 minutes away. Hardstanding and grass pitches sit tucked behind The Skipworth Arms itself, where real ales flow at decent prices and weekend entertainment keeps the bar buzzing – perfect if you fancy a pint without leaving site, though the atmosphere can feel distinctly pubby rather than tranquil.

A three-quarter-acre fishing lake, free to use and properly stocked, adds genuine appeal for anglers, while classic bike nights and biker weekends through the Vulcan Riders Association give the place a two-wheeled character. Dogs are welcome year-round, and Caistor's takeaways and the Heritage Centre's Lincolnshire fare are just up the road. With the coast at Cleethorpes under half an hour away and full motorhome services on site, it's a handy, good-value base that trades seclusion for convenience and camaraderie.

Good old style pub in the middle of nowhere! They have sport tv and a pool table and a nice log burner when its cold. Most Saturday nights there is a band or singer on. Good atmosphere and nice beers, staff are great.

Nice pub and dog friendly. Enjoyed the stay in a campervan. Nice walk in the Nettleton Wood a 15min walk down the main road or a 2 min drive. Toilets, pot washing and showers are not the best, but adequate. No food in the pub FYI but I believe they have Live bands regularly. Was very quiet when we were there. Good price for the night but a little undecided if I would stay for a second time.

Large dog friendly pub with a good array of beers and spirits. Quite busy with locals but very welcoming. We stayed in the motorhome as they have a large camper stop over site at the rear of the bar with good size plots with gravel hardstand, water and metered electric. They also have elsan point and a shower block. The site has a small lake, is very quiet and reasonable to stay.

It's wasn't so bad there was bad signal and the toilets and showers could use a good clean the fishing pond looked like nobody had used it long and had beer cans all in it. wasn't very lit up Ethier saying that the pond was very close to the road of the caravan site and it was hard to find takeaways in the area and was loud due to airplanes going over and trains going past would recommend for elder people
