What visitors say

First visit to this lovely pub. Although it was a wet and damp day, there was no sign of that from the lovely staff. Nice and friendly, chatty and engaging. A lovely light and bright restaurant. An excellent choice on the menu. The food was delicious and large portions, what more could you ask for. We had a delicious desert too but had eaten most of it before we took a photo. We will definitely be back.

Had a night out for my nephews 30th and thought I'd stay over Staff super friendly and helpful especially Fiona who was a star Unfortunately there were a few issues with my room which the landlord very quickly tried to sort but in the end I had to switch rooms. Credit to him he was lovely and really did his best to fix things. But since the RTC in 2024 ive struggled in a single bed hence I booked a double , so I ended up with a poor night's sleep but they did their best and they are really really great people. My nephew also had a fab night 🍾🎼🎂🥳 So four stars from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ........ Went for a meal on the opening night and was really impressed with the welcome, the newly refurbished restaurant and especially the quality of the food. The Landlords pie was delicious and the vegetables were simply and beautifully cooked. My better half was blown away by the Livery Line of liver and wonderfully crispy bacon. The staff were very attentive with out imposing and the meal finished on a high with the Cherry Bakewell and an excellent custard, my wife was equally impressed with the Lemon Cheesecake. An excellent start with a very promising future.
