Erwain Escapes

My partner and I have stayed in quite a few cabins and shepherd's huts over the years, and we've happily given many of them 5-star reviews. However, this cabin is truly magical, and honestly, 5 stars just doesn't feel like enough. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with such a warm welcome. Then, as you walk through the gate, nothing can prepare you for what you'll see. The photos and videos are beautiful, but they simply don't do this place justice. The attention to detail that Angela and Ian have put into every aspect of the cabin and its surroundings is incredible. Normally, we use wherever we're staying as a base to explore the local area, but this time I didn't want to leave the meadow. Listening to the birdsong, watching the wildlife, and simply soaking up the peace and tranquillity was unlike anything we've experienced before. It was the perfect place to slow down, switch off, and completely relax. I'm so pleased that Angela and Ian have built just one cabin here. Having this beautiful space entirely to yourselves makes the experience even more special and truly breathtaking. I cannot recommend this cabin highly enough. It really is the perfect escape, and we will definitely be back.

Myself and my partner had the most beautiful stay at Erwain Escapes! Being at one with nature in the cabin and surrounded by wildflowers was the best way to relax and unwind. We had some real quality time being off the grid and relaxing in the outdoor bath. I couldn’t recommend Erwain Escapes enough! It is incredible. Thank you so much Angela and Ian! Updated Review: I returned in May for another stay at Erwain Escapes, and once again it exceeded every expectation. This time I made the most of the peaceful setting, dozing in the hammock by the river, enjoying the bluebells in bloom, and spending slow mornings sitting out on the deck. Original Review: I stayed at Erwain Escapes for a much-needed digital detox, and it exceeded every expectation. I arrived feeling stressed and left feeling genuinely restored. The peaceful, private meadow setting, with the sound of the stream, was exactly what I needed. I was greeted warmly and given a personal tour, and the welcome pack with local treats was such a thoughtful touch. The cabin is absolutely stunning. The décor is luxurious, and the off-grid experience still felt incredibly comfortable. Even in December with the rain, the views were beautiful, and the outdoor bath became a real highlight. The wood burner made the cabin feel cosy, perfect for reading, resting and simply switching off. One of my favourite parts of the stay was watching the huge variety of birds that visit the feeders. It created such a calm, grounding atmosphere and made the retreat feel even more magical. Although the area is full of things to explore, I chose not to venture out because the whole purpose of my visit was to retreat, recharge and enjoy the tranquillity. It was perfect for that. Erwain Escapes would be incredible for romantic getaways, honeymoons or couples celebrating, but I loved experiencing it solo. It felt like a real act of self-care, and I’d recommend it to anyone who needs to slow down, breathe and immerse themselves in nature for a while. I’ll definitely be returning.

Stayed Feb 2026 A beautiful cabin in a beautiful locations. Angela met us on arrival to show us around which was a lovely touch. There was an extensive welcome pack with many wonderful recommendations. We would highly recommend staying & would love to return one day!!
