About Agar House
Agar House suits travellers after an easy, no-fuss base rather than a fussed-over hotel experience. This is a straightforward guesthouse in Llandudno, close to The Summit Complex and less than half a mile from the town itself, making it a sensible choice for a short break built around walking, cycling or exploring the coast rather than lounging in a lobby.
Rooms are simple and comfortable, with en-suite bathrooms, free WiFi and family rooms available for those travelling with children, who are also catered for with kids' meals. Mornings start with a full breakfast, and packed lunches can be arranged for those heading out for the day. Guests can store bikes on site, and there's a garden with outdoor seating for taking in the garden and mountain views. Free on-site parking and 24-hour reception add convenience for arrivals at any time.
The surrounding area suits an active stay, with cycling and walking routes, golf, fishing and watersports all nearby, plus pubs, restaurants and entertainment within easy reach for evenings out. It's a fitting base for anyone who wants comfortable, unpretentious accommodation and prefers to spend their time outdoors rather than indoors.

I had an amazing experience and would have stayed longer if it were at all possible. Betty was the perfect host - part storyteller, part comedian, part taxi driver, part problem solver (in the face of my forgetfulness) and part master chef. Breakfast was amazing. You'll have heard the old saying 'Jack of all trades etc. Betty is definitely master of them all.

Excellent very good all round, very well looked after by the lovely Betty and Ian who couldn't do enough to make you feel at home. Another bonus was the lovely breakfast, nicely laid out fruit yogurts and cereal for a starter and full English was great too. Lots of other choices as well. The rooms are cleaned daily and stock up your room with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and even bottles of water. We will definitely be coming here again 😀😀
