About The Central Hotel

A traditional facade fronts Central Promenade at The Central Hotel, a Llandudno property built in the classic seafront style typical of this stretch of coast. Its position along the promenade gives many rooms a view straight out over the sea, and the building has been fitted with a lift, making it easy to reach the upper floors.

Rooms are en-suite and kept clean and spacious, with family rooms available for those travelling together, plus drinks in room and room service for extra convenience. Breakfast is generous, with vegetarian options included, and packed lunches can be arranged for a day out. Downstairs there's a bar, a snack bar, a garden to sit in, and meeting rooms for those combining business with a stay, all backed by staff who are consistently described as friendly and accommodating.

Free on-site parking is available on a first come, first served basis, though space can be limited at busy times; street parking nearby becomes free after 4pm. The Summit Complex is a short distance away, and the surrounding area offers walking, cycling, fishing, golf and watersports, along with pubs and restaurants within easy reach.

We recently stayed at The Central Hotel in Llandudno for four nights and, overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. At £360 for four nights, we felt it offered excellent value for money and was a fantastic base from which to explore Llandudno and the surrounding North Wales coast. The first thing that stood out was the warm welcome from the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly, polite and happy to help, which made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The reception area is modern, bright and clean, creating a good first impression. The hotel also has a pleasant bar with a good selection of drinks, and the sea views from there are a lovely bonus, especially after a day of sightseeing. The communal toilets were always clean and well maintained, and we appreciated the daily room service, which generally kept the room tidy throughout our stay. The hotel also benefits from a rear car park, which is very convenient, although spaces are limited. On the fourth night the car park was full, so we had to park on the street instead. The location couldn’t be much better, being just a short walk from the promenade, shops, restaurants and many of Llandudno’s attractions. One of the most memorable parts of our stay wasn’t provided by the hotel at all—it was the resident seagull we affectionately named “Steven”! Every morning he would tap on our window and wake us up, giving us a laugh and becoming an unexpected part of our holiday. There were, however, a few areas that could be improved. We stayed in Room 23, and the biggest issue was the lack of ventilation. The room remained at around 27°C throughout our stay and, with no air conditioning, it became very warm and uncomfortable, particularly overnight. Even a fan would have made a noticeable difference. We ended up brining our own fans. The room itself was quite basic. The double bed was rather small and would not be particularly comfortable for two larger adults. There was no fridge, which would have been useful during the hot weather, and the shower cubicle was also quite compact. Unfortunately, the shower doors had come off their runners when we arrived, so we had to put them back into place ourselves before using the shower. Housekeeping was generally good, but it wasn’t always consistent, as we ran out of toilet rolls before they were replaced. Overall, while the room lacked some of the standard facilities you might expect in a more modern hotel, it’s important to judge it against the price. For £360 for four nights, we genuinely felt we received very good value for money. The excellent location, friendly staff and comfortable communal areas outweighed the shortcomings of the room. Would we stay here again? Yes, absolutely. Next time we would simply book a larger room with a bigger bed and, hopefully, one with better ventilation. If you’re looking for an affordable, well-located hotel with welcoming staff and don’t mind a few compromises, The Central Hotel is well worth considering

Welcoming, hospitable and cozy accommodations. The view from our room was gorgeous and despite being right in the middle of town, was a quiet refuge of rest and relaxation. Comfortable beds, great water pressure and hot water in shower. We shared a key - old school lock h which was just fine. Staff was kind and helpful. Will be back!

Came here 2 years ago for 1st time in Llandudno. Vetted Most of the sea row of hotels...and this is the BEST. The staff are super friendly, and helpful, we were in room 25 front sea view, and what a view! Driven from Derbyshire after a 3 hour train journey to collect a car..to end up at the CENTRAL.. Parking is always tight, but free! The Lift is very welcoming after a long day travelling also. Spacious room, Very comfy bed, shower Brilliant hot and adjustable, Watch out for the local seagulls they like to get personal by tapping windows lol🦤😆 Large TV in room to watch🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 World cup, both in room, as well as in the bar.. Great place to chill out, and the breakfast is Amazing too. Veggie options too. Will be bringing 2 more guests next time as they've finished decorating more rooms out now adjoining buildings. We arrived at 9.15pm and the lady behind the reception was so lovely and helpful, we weren't sure where to park so I rang up and she explained how to find the car park and once we arrived she guided me through check in and breakfasts and everything. The room was perfect for the price and there was a lift to take you to all floors, they also have a VERY GOOD disabled support policy which you can find detailed in the information packet in the rooms. Also we were on the top floor and had Amazing views across the beach/sea.. They leave tea, coffee and biscuits in your room along with body/hair wash in the bathrooms, the rooms are clean and very nice. 10/10 for the staff they are all lovely and We even met the owner who was so nice. The only downside we found was the car park is very small and wasnt sign posted very well from the direction we came in. However there isnt much they can do with that if that's the only space they get with the properly. 100% plan to go back and would recommend to all.
