About Winchmore Hotel

Llandudno's stretch of North Wales coastline is the setting for the Winchmore Hotel, found on Mostyn Crescent within easy reach of the seafront. With 34 en-suite rooms, it makes a practical base for exploring the town and the wider coast, and the location itself is one of its strongest points.

Rooms come with good storage space and are kept clean and comfortable, while the on-site restaurant serves a freshly cooked breakfast each morning that has drawn particular praise. There's also a bar, drinks available in room, free WiFi, luggage storage and 24 hour reception, so guests arriving at odd hours are looked after. Staff are noted as friendly and helpful, and the hotel is generally considered good value for money. On-site parking is free, though it's worth checking current arrangements as some guests have mentioned additional charges.

Beyond the hotel, the surrounding area offers a golf course, fishing, horse riding and watersports, along with nearby pubs, restaurants and entertainment, making it a reasonable spot for those wanting to combine a seaside stay with some activity.

Nice, pleasant staff, decent enough rooms, some decor required in certain parts, car park area, although rather expensive, and you must book in advance and pay on the day, also time wise is a little strict or you have to pay more, we paid 15 pounds per car for our overnight stay, only 17 spaces for a 34 room hotel. Location excellent 10 out 10 for that, breakfast was ok, very small amount for 11 pounds, although you could also have cereal, toast, etc, orange juice, yoghurt, tea coffee etc. Room prices ok, All in all, a good hotel.

There was no AC in this hotel and besides that they offered no fans. It was the wirst hotel my family and i ever stayed at. We had to open windows and it was almost 90 degrees. No one slept and they couldn’t even offer us washcloths to use for our heads. i slept on a wet towel to try to not die from the heat. I shouldn’t have to pay for either night. we got a hotel with AC the next next. Don’t stay here. It’s horrible.

Very disappointed with my stay. I was given a room in an annex building outside the main hotel, with the door opening directly into the car park. It didn’t feel like part of the hotel at all. The room was extremely hot with no fan or ventilation, making it very uncomfortable. When I politely asked at reception for a fan or a room change, the response was rude and dismissive — I was told to ‘let me know if you want to check out’ instead of offering any help. There were insects and bugs in the room, the curtains were worn out, and there was visible mould in the bathroom — completely unacceptable for a hotel room. For the price and expectations, this is the least I would expect from a hotel. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for.

The location of the hotel is central, and everything is nearby, which is very convenient. However, the rooms are very small, and the washroom is also quite compact. The kettle in the room was dirty, which was disappointing. Parking is available but paid, which ideally should be included with the booking. Overall, the stay was average due to these issues.
