Stayed with my Grandma who is 89 & the hosts Brain & Xia were very welcoming. They managed to accommodate our last minute booking and the guesthouse is very clean. The breakfast options are great and they even have a stairlift for any elderly guests that may struggle with the stairs!. Parking outside is also convenient.

Had a very pleasant three night stay here at the Merrydale. This B&B was perfect for me as it was just a 10 minute walk from the station and very close to the town centre. I received a very warm welcome when I arrived by the hosts who allowed me to check into my room early which was a welcome surprise. My room was small, but it was very cosy. It had everything that I needed and was very clean when I arrived, must like the rest of the B&B. The en-suite bathroom was great and even had a rainfall shower (I love those), the bed was comfortable and the Wi-Fi was very fast. Breakfast was also very nice, although I only had it one morning and not all three as it was a bit too expensive for me. Regarding my room, my only two complaints are the curtains which barely blocked out any light from outside and the soundproofing which wasn't great as I heard guests in other rooms talking quite a lot. Other than that? Everything else was good and I ended up having an overall great stay here at the Merrydale and I would gladly return one day in the future.

Where to start ? Brian and his wife made us so welcome , from when we got there to when we left . Breakfast was spot on . My good lady had allergy problems . But they dealt with her requirements with no problems . .. would defo go back . .. well done hosts
