I’m writing to express my disappointment at the recent decision to stop allowing carers to bowl for free at our local bowling alley. For many families like mine, this policy made a real difference. As a carer for someone with additional needs, outings like bowling aren’t just leisure—they are an important part of routine, social interaction, and wellbeing. The previous arrangement recognised the role of carers and helped make these experiences more accessible and affordable. Removing the “carer goes free” option places an added financial strain on families who are already managing a lot. It may also discourage people with additional needs from attending altogether, which is really disheartening. I feel this change overlooks the vital support carers provide and the importance of inclusive community spaces. I would strongly urge you to reconsider this decision or look at introducing an alternative that continues to support carers and those they care for. I hope you take this feedback on board, as I know I’m not the only one who feels this way. Kind regards, Margaret

Great movie, ordered food to go. Big mistake. Chips tasted stale like they'd been cooked a while ago and heated up in the microwave, many were burnt and not crispy burnt. Soggy burnt. Chicken was dry. I was so disappointed I've love bowling alley chips and have had them many times before. The food place was empty so no excuse there. Leason learned, check and taste ur food before you leave. My experience was on Tuesday the 7th may around 9.30.

I would never want to do a negative review about somewhere we frequent alot as a family but felt massively let down yesterday when I had a birthday party for my special needs 14 year old. Upon phone booking I told the lady they were special needs children and we would require wheelchair accessibility which was no problem at all. As I have had a bowls and diner party before teas and coffees are provided for adults. Upon arrival I enquired and staff told me that they don't do it anymore due to cost issues. I was completely blindsided and embarrassed as adults expect a beverage to be provided. I wasnt told Upon booking that this was a new thing. If I had been told I'd have been more prepared. Everyone is aware there is issues in hospitality with cost but to see a venue thriving use this excuse when other venues that provide parties for the community still provide tea and coffee was highly disappointing. Towards the end of the bowling one of the lanes cut off without us finishing up our final go. When placed in the cafe for food there was barely any room for the wheel chair and we were put right beside the till which is the highest traffic area in the cafe, it was disappointing when I made a comment to staff she said yeah we can just move a chair for the wheelchair. Dismissed my point and issue completely. She also did not hand me the adult drinks, left them on the counter. i had to get them myself and clarify if they were even mine. Another staff member who took over was lovely and accommodating and the birthday girl had a great time. Sad that some issues negatively impacted it and the tea/coffee issue is one that would need looked at.
