About Da Vincis Hotel Derry

Culmore Road runs out towards Ness Country Park on the edge of Londonderry, and it's here that Da Vincis Hotel Derry sits, close enough to the city for an easy visit but with the quieter, greener surroundings of the park nearby. The hotel has 65 rooms, and free on-site parking makes it a straightforward base whether you're arriving by car for a night away or staying longer to explore the area.

Rooms are clean, modern and spacious, giving guests a comfortable place to return to after a day out. The restaurant serves food that's been described as good value, with breakfast a particular highlight, and the bar has a lively atmosphere, often with live music, making it as much a spot for locals as for hotel guests. Other facilities include free WiFi, a lift, luggage storage, drinks in room, business services, porter services, and the hotel also operates as a wedding venue.

Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, though service can be slow at busier times. With Londonderry itself around 2.4 miles away and Ness Country Park close by, the hotel works well as a base for both city sights and outdoor time.

Had a lovely 2 nights here last week. I've stayed many times before it 1st time since it was refurbished. The reception area is really bright now. The rooms are beautiful and I got a lovely surprise for my birthday left in it. The breakfast was always good but it has improved and the breakfast area is really good now. The 2 staff we saw were lovely as was all the staff we came across. I couldn't fault any of it and looking forward to coming back soon.

Stayed with my Husband last night and was well informed from the hotel before arrival that there was work going on on but not once were we disturbed by this, a massive effort from the hotel to keep guests informed and make the stay comfortable. We had a drink at the bar and the staff made a point of making sure we got served and straight away had us sorted with a drink! We also had dinner here and food arrived very quickly. The meal was very good and we had fantastic service my husband is a chef and I am a bar supervisor so we recognised the great effort from the staff in a busy bar! Will definitely be returning for another stay!

Recently had a stay at Da Vinci's hotel. Check in was very fast . Rooms where big enough and extremely clean and modern. One negative on staying on the ground floor was i has a delivery truck right outside my window from early morning not ideal if your trying to sleep. The bar and restaurant had some nice options to eat . Bar had plenty of Tvs and also had some local trad music on multiple night which is a nice touch . A bit of a walk out of the city centre but less than £5 for a taxi.

We went on Sun 3rd of May for the end of the Jazz festival. We had lunch which was delicious and the serving staff were lovely. Things went downhill once we were going to the bar for our drinks. I was aware the bar staff were really busy and waited my turn only to be ignored while people who were obviously locals were served. This happened four times to both myself and my husband. We gave up and went into town. On our last morning we left out the breakfast menu on our door as we we fancied treating ourselves to in room service. It never happened the card was still on our handle in the morning. I phoned reception 3 times no apology and kept being told someone was on their way up. Never happened so 45 mins later cancelled. We did get a call from the duty manager saying he and the night porter had walked the corridor four times and didn't see the card. Should have gone to Specsavers !! Finally at checkout they wouldn't refund the breakfasts as it was complementary!!! We were told to take it up with Expedia. Staff and customer service very lacking in this hotel. Do yourself a favour and AVOID.
