Bearsted Barns - Stables is a converted barn on a working property in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, three miles from Maidstone town centre. The building sits entirely at ground level, making it straightforward for anyone with mobility concerns. One bedroom contains a zip-and-link super-kingsize bed (convertible to two singles), plus a z-bed suitable for a child. The bathroom has both a bath and walk-in shower. The open-plan living space centres on a woodburner, with a dining area and kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and the rest. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are all included; initial logs for the woodburner come with the property.
Three-and-a-half acres of grounds surround the barn, with a decked terrace, garden furniture and barbecue. The owner also provides access to a further 15 acres of woodland. A car port accommodates one vehicle. A pub sits within a mile. Maidstone itself offers leisure facilities including a swimming centre, the Hazlitt Theatre, and frequent train services to London. The surrounding area suits walkers and cyclists, with Leeds Castle, Allington Lock on the River Medway, and Mote Park—a 450-acre estate with miniature railways—all nearby. No smoking is permitted.
