What visitors say
First time my wife & I visited. We loved it. The waitress that served us (very short hair & Dr Martens-style shoes), was brilliant. The decoration is warm & welcoming. Dogs were very welcome. Highly recommendable. Thanks!!

We came here for my 40th birthday. There were 12 of us and we had the afternoon tea and paint session! We were booked at 2:15pm for 2 hours. At 3:30 we were told we needed to be finished at ready to leave by 4pm as that was when they closed (I'm not sure how this works as we had been booked in for a 2 hour session booked from 2:15!) We were then told this over and over again! The staff were rude and we felt like we were a real pain being there! The area was very squashed and moving around to get the afternoon tea that was put on a separate table was nearly impossible! The afternoon tea was ok! However, the gluten free brownie and cakes were completely inedible (I am not a fussy GF eater and will take anything but this was really terrible!) We spent a lot of money that afternoon... Felt rushed, like we were a hinderence and shouldn't have been there. Never mind cramped with a non edible afternoon tea! I very rarely write posts to complain as I know life is busy and these things can happen. But, the rude and completely unhelpful staff just finished it all off! One bonus when we collected the pots they were lovely. (I wasn't expecting much after our experience in the venue)

Cosy cafe with great menu and delicious food. I enjoyed the veggie chilli with a jacket potato and cheese, all cooked to perfection with a fresh salad, and my friend enjoyed her turkey, brie and cranberry panini with a mince pie. Friendly service and a lovely atmosphere with pottery upstairs. I will definitely be returning again.

Lovely cafe. We sat outside as the weather's been lovely. Just had a couple of coffes, egg mayo on brown which was delicious..bread was very fresh and a slice of lemon loaf cake. Would go back

Diners like this cafe's delicious food, including tasty chilli and freshly baked scones, and appreciate the variety of cakes and menu options. They also highlight the friendly and attentive staff, the warm atmosphere, and that dogs are welcome.
Some reviews mention the coffee can be bitter.
