This tucked-away glamping retreat near Whitchurch delivers an impressive mix of rural seclusion and well-thought-out amenities. Set just off the A49, Lower Hall makes a handy base for exploring Chester or venturing into Wales, while the nearby Sandstone Trail offers scenic walks practically on the doorstep. What a fabulous venue! It feels like a rustic French farm but in the middle of Cheshire. The setting is idyllic, so quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The hut itself is very comfortable; the bed, soft and cosy. The facilities are simple and convenient for a short stay. David could not be a more welcoming and hospitable host. The little extras were much appreciated, and added to the perfect little getaway.

5 Stars – Absolutely Perfect Getaway! We had the most amazing stay in the Shepherd’s Hut! The facilities were fantastic – everything you could possibly want and more. It felt like we had our own private villa, complete with a swimming pool, tennis courts, pool table, and even a darts board. What more could you ask for? The hut itself was cozy, beautifully kept, and incredibly well-equipped. Dave and Jane were wonderful hosts – warm, welcoming, and so helpful throughout our stay. A truly stunning place that exceeded all expectations. We’re already looking forward to coming back in the summer with our 13-year-old son. Big thank you to Dave and Jane – see you soon!

Dave and Jane have managed to perfect the fine balance of attentive, welcoming hosts and privacy. We could not have asked for more, from supplying wine, bbq, fire pit, tea coffee, milk and even fresh veg from there own veg patch to a swimming pool, darts, tennis and your own private haven. Meeting Patty the dog was an added bonus and a lovely friend for our little pooch. We even landed lucky with perfect weather and having two White owls fly by. Will 100% be booking again and telling everyone we know. Thank you both for a lovely stay.

We have just got back home after a nights stay here for our anniversary... What an incredible place, absolutely beautiful.. so peaceful and relaxed. The treehouse was spotless and the bedding smelt so fresh. Dave the owner, was lovely, super friendly and lovely to talk to. We had a BBQ,played darts,tennis and pool. I lovely getaway from every day life. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back
