Pitch was great, EHU and water from your pitch with a drain. Location was in a lovely area but worth noting the Rugby club is over the road. We were awoken throughout the night by passing cars on the road and also again very early in the morning by rugby club members getting ready for a match - lots of shouting and cars arriving. We additionally experienced no electricity in the toilet block, so there was no lighting. This additionally meant we couldn't use the showers as there is very little/no natural light entering the shower cubicles. Very disappointed at this - we reported the issue - but got the feeling it had been like that a while given all the other campers on site had caravans or very large motorhomes where they wouldn't have needed this facility. I think for the £40 we paid to stay for a single night we were disappointed.

We have had a lovely weekend on this campsite. The environment is so relaxing. It truly felt like we were in the middle of a field. There was bird song all day long. The grass pitches do get very wet in the rain and some needed help to get off - the owner was there giving this assistance. There is hard standing pitches too! Facilities are spotless, location amazing, country park opposite and town 10 min walk away. Lots of places to eat and drink and shops to mooch in! Owner came and checked on us on arrival day making sure we had all we needed. Lovely gentleman man very friendly. Also checked we were okay getting off as we were leaving. Would have liked a hose by chemical toilet disposal to rinse toilets out and a separate washing up area but there is a sink in the laundry you can use. Lady I. Hairdressers also checked we were okay and gave us local knowledge for walking in finding bins etc. A hidden little gem!

Myself and my partner enquired a couple of weeks ago about a residential stay, we were told yes there were 2 pitches available and to complete the online form. We did this and sent photos of the caravan we planned to buy if we were accepted. We were told every thing was fine and a pitch was available. So far so good. We arranged to go and buy the caravan from Cumbria that Friday as we intended, as per our booking, to move in on 01/09/25. My partner telephoned and arranged to go to the site to see the pitch we were to be given, and told me that it was lovely and the young lady who showed him round the site had been lovely and showed him all the site facilities, she did also tell him that his van would not be allowed on site as it was too big to fit on the pitch. That evening, we drove to Maket Bosworth to see if there was any near by places we could park the van when we were on site, we even rang the rugby club opposite. Whilst there my partner took me on to the caravan park to show me the pitch we had agreed. We spoke to a couple of the residents who seemed very nice. On leaving we bumped into the lady that had shown my partner round earlier. She was far from "lovely" to me. I was greeted with a frosty smile my partner introduced me as his partner and that he was showing me the pitch we had been allocated. She had nothing to say and we awkwardly said we were looking forward to moving there and said goodbye. This is a good time to mention that I am indian and my partner is English Caucasian. The next day my partner made the trip to Cumbria to pick up the caravan. I emailed Bosworth caravan park that day to let them know my partner will be calling in the morning to make the £500 deposit payment. No response. As promised my partner rang first thing in the morning (he had bought the caravan) to pay the deposit, only to be told by John the site owner that that he had emailed that morning to say there was no availability anymore!!! When asked why, he said they had taken a deposit from someone else that morning. Why, when we had been accepted and emailed to say we were calling that morning to make the payment would they do that. No valid explanation was given. After several desperate calls and emails to John, we were told simply there is no availability. He then said we could go on the "waiting list". What "waiting list" we were accepted straigh away. I finally emailed John to say I felt strongly racially distributed, as everything appeared absolutely fine until I showed up in person. And no valid reason had been given for the sudden change of mind. He had the nerve to request and apology form me!! For saying that is how I felt. No apology or explanation was given for the way we have been treated. Absolutely abhorrent behaviour. I am so disappointed. I hope this raises some kind of awareness to the kind of people who run this place. At the very worst passive rasicm at it finest. At the very least unprofessional, pompous and rude!!!

We had a lovely 4 night stay here and will definitely come back. It's a beautiful, clean site which is next to the country park. A flat walk through the country park and into Bosworth town is a must. It's only small but beautiful. Nice places to eat and a small Coop if you need some shopping.
