Blackland Lakes

Stockley Ln, Calne SN11 0NQ, UK

Established touring park around three lakes near Calne, 11 miles from Marlborough

About Blackland Lakes

Blackland Lakes has operated as a touring and camping park since 1984, set across 15 acres of landscaped grounds a couple of miles south of Calne. The site is built around three former gravel-pit lakes—two kept for coarse fishing and one managed as a nature reserve—giving the park a settled, well-grown feel that comes from four decades of planting and maintenance rather than a recent conversion.

Around 110 pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents are spread across six tree-lined paddocks, with a mix of electric hook-up and non-hook-up options. On-site facilities include a shop, bar and clubhouse, play area and modern toilet and shower blocks, making it a more fully equipped option than smaller farm sites in the area. The park is popular with anglers and families alike, while its position within reach of the North Wessex Downs AONB suits walkers and cyclists exploring the countryside around Calne and Marlborough. Dogs on leads are welcome, and the site regularly hosts Duke of Edinburgh groups and vintage vehicle rallies alongside individual touring guests.

Went for fishing but nothing of significance in heron lake a small carp and small roach. Toilet blocks not clean and showers sub standard . Fully serviced pitch was good but all campsite was dated and needs a bit of TLC. Sorry won't be back if you advertise fishing then you have to have a decent stock of fish. Reception unmanned for long periods of time. Need to refresh the website to be honest.

Really enjoyed our stay at this campsite, well run and kept tidily. Good facilities, only negative was the toilet blocks being quite far from our pitch - would have been a big issue if we'd had little ones

First time being on the site, absolutely lovely site, beautifull location and alot too do around the surrounding area. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Only let down were the facilities, ie, toilet blocks, DEAD! Cockroaches in the mens shower! And we had RATS!! Coming onto our pitch! We have dogs so it was a bit of a concern, i know the site is in the country, but i have been on plenty of other sites of which have been in the country side and have never come across RATS!! So that did spoil the visit a little.

A great camping site with amazing views and the staff were exceptional and very helpful. I would definitely stay there again. All facilities were so clean and well maintained! It was an A1 experience!
