Wayside Lodges - Chestnut Lodge
Wiltshire
Photo: Google Maps
Rural Wiltshire attracts visitors for its archaeology and landscape, and Chestnut Lodge sits on the edge of a working smallholding within easy reach of Stonehenge, Avebury and Bath. The lodge is one of four timber buildings set across 12 acres of mixed woodland and open ground near Bromham, with your own parking and a terrace overlooking the wider grounds.
Everything is on the ground floor: an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining and sitting areas, two bedrooms (one double, one with singles), a bathroom with both bath and shower, and a separate toilet. The kitchen has a full electric cooker and the usual appliances for self-catering. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are included. Your enclosed garden and patio have furniture and a barbecue, and a ramp is available on request if the three entrance steps are a concern. The property sleeps four and welcomes one pet.
The setting suits families or groups wanting a quiet base for exploring the region, or simply for a countryside break. You can watch horses and chickens from the lodge, and the woodland is yours to wander. Smoking is not permitted inside.
