About Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre
Bisham Village, just outside Marlow in Berkshire, is home to Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre, a 50-room hotel built around sport and training rather than conventional hotel comforts. The setting is quiet and green, with a garden on site and the surrounding countryside giving the whole place a practical, outdoorsy feel.
Rooms are en-suite, with family and accessible options available, plus drinks in room and free WiFi throughout. The property has a lift, a bar, a snack bar, and serves breakfast, with a gym on site for guests who want to keep up a training routine during their stay. Meeting rooms make it a workable base for groups as well as individual travellers, and free on-site parking, luggage storage and a laundry service cover the practical side of things.
Marlow itself is a short distance away, with the Roald Dahl Museum a notable point of interest nearby. Golf and fishing can both be arranged locally, and there are pubs, bars and restaurants within easy reach for evenings out. It suits guests who want sports facilities and straightforward comfort over a more polished hotel experience.
