What visitors say
Recently stayed in a Glamping Pod for two nights three days.. the pod was excellent very clean and secure. Inside we had a microwave, fridge and kettle, cutlery, plates and beds. The pod also has central heating but we didnt use it the pod was very warm. There are plug sockets to use and lighting and the facilities, toilets, showers and washing machine and dryer and a sink to wash your pots was next door. The staff were absolutley great, very friendly, informative and great customer service skills. We was facing the harbour and just a short walk into Maryport, the harbour, lighthouse, cafes and sea.. absolutley loved it thank you we will be back in a couple of months.. Dawn and John..

What a beautiful experience to the beginning of a wonderful few days we had over the last very hot days these weeks past. After a very long drive I arrived at the Harbour Side Caravan park, boasting a lot of hard ground camping and a few pods( 3, I believe ) I an 2 small ones had enough space to use as digs and chill. I arrived early, earlier than check in time and everyone was so lovely and accommodating to make the wait for the room as easy for me as possible. Did I say that I was the one who turned up early. The Mariña is gaaawjus , it was quite blustery when we first turned up but as the weather turned warmer the Marina lit up, especially at night. Definitely worth a revisit. There is a plethora of shops surrounding and pubs, all reasonably priced, so if you didn't come with everything, you won't starve. The hut had your basics, microwave ,under counter fridge, and kettle with your basic plates, cups n cutlery. The amenities are well maintained, cleaned regularly..( You don't see it happening ), and for the some 20 odd plots and just a few shower and toilet rooms ( just what I saw myself, there may have been more on site) it's all kept immaculate. You're close enough and far enough from other campers, if you do or don't want to. Car park is secure with fob and barrier entry and access. A lovely experience, one I hope to have again and again. After speaking to a few people who have it as a got to when wanting to get away.. Cheap cheerful, and bring your own sheets etc.. Really a pleasure, and Apogies for the late review..

We stayed in one of pods. It was very clean and cosy. They are on the smaller size, so the bed is ideal for 2 adults. We took our son with us and one of us slept on the sofa which isn't really a bed so it wasn't particularly comfortable but we made it work! We also took our dog. They had cups, plates, bowls, cutlery, microwave and kettle. You do have to take your own bedding including bottom sheets, which I'd rather do anyway so that was fine. There is also a heater in there, but we didn't really need it, even with the cold weather outside. There are only 3 pods on the site and the rest of the space is for motorhomes and caravans. It is a really nice site. The toilets and showers were brilliant and were maintained to a great standard. You are right on the marina as well so that was a really nice touch. There are plenty of cute cafes around, and we were in walking distance of an aquarium that is definitely worth a visit, especially with kids.
