Harbour Gates

Harbour Gates is fully equipped for self-catering groups of up to eight. The kitchen has an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. There is wifi throughout, and parking for one car on site plus a garage for bikes. The four bedrooms—three doubles and one with twin singles—are spread across three floors, with three bathrooms and a separate toilet between them.

The property sits on Ritson Wharf, a harbourside development in Maryport where you can watch fishing boats come and go. From the balcony, views reach across the Solway Firth towards the Scottish hills. Ground-floor living areas include a sun room opening to a patio, and the ground floor also has a freeview television, DVD and CD players, DAB radio and a gas fire. Outside there is a paved area and furnished balcony. A shed with freezer storage is available for additional provisions.

Maryport's town centre is a short walk away, with pubs, restaurants and shops. The Wave Centre, immediately across the road, houses a maritime museum and hosts entertainment venues. The children's Shipwreck playground and aquarium are neighbouring attractions. The unspoilt Solway coast lies to the north; Cockermouth and Keswick are within half an hour's drive inland.
