Duvale Cottages - Duvale Barn

Groups of 30 or more need somewhere that actually works logistically, and Duvale Barn in Mid Devon is built for exactly that. The converted barn has 16 bedrooms across two floors, 12 bathrooms, and enough kitchen space—four separate ones—that meal times don't become a bottleneck. Most bedrooms have ensuite facilities. Bed linen and wifi are included; heating runs on oil central heating on a timer. One dog stays free.

The ground floor holds three reception rooms with log burners, a bar room, a games room with pool table and darts, and the kitchens. The first floor is mostly bedrooms. Outside there's a hot tub, garden furniture spread across a patio and terrace, and a barbecue. A courtyard provides overflow seating. Cots, travel cots and highchairs are available for families with young children. You arrive after 4pm and leave by 10am. No smoking throughout.

The location sits near the Devon and Somerset border. For groups marking an anniversary, reunion or celebration, the setup is practical rather than fussy—multiple spaces to gather or split off, straightforward catering options, and enough beds that nobody's on the sofa. Parking is on site.
