Hayden Farm
Mid Devon
Hayden Farm works well for families, groups of friends, or two couples looking to spread out across a whole property in the Blackdown Hills. The detached cottage has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, sleeping up to eight. The ground floor contains a living room with a woodburner, a separate dining room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, hob, range, dishwasher, and American fridge freezer. A utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer is also on this level. Upstairs are the remaining three bedrooms and a family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.
The fifteen acres of grounds give genuine seclusion; you reach the cottage via a farm track, and the views stretch across fields where deer graze. The one-acre enclosed garden has lawn space for children to play, a patio that catches sun throughout the day, garden furniture, and a barbecue. A bike store and parking are on site. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included; oil central heating and the initial supply of wood for the burner (November to March) are covered. The property comes with a travel cot, highchair and stairgate for families with young children. A welcome pack is provided on arrival. One well-behaved dog or cat is welcome. The water supply comes from a natural spring on the land. Smoking is not permitted inside.
Hayden Farm sits between Hemyock and Culmstock in designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty countryside. Public footpaths network through the area, and quiet roads suit cycling. The location serves as a base for exploring Devon and Somerset.
