The Old Mill

Couples and small families will find The Old Mill a quiet base for exploring Mid Devon and the edge of Exmoor. This converted wing of the owner's home sleeps four across two bedrooms – a double and two singles – with one bathroom. The ground floor holds an open-plan living and dining space with a kitchen for proper cooking, while heating and all essentials including wi-fi are covered. Parking is on site, and you have use of a large garden with seating area. One thing to note: there is an unfenced river about 20 yards away.

The location suits walkers and families wanting access to Exmoor National Park and the wider region; Wimbleball Lake, known for fishing and water sports, is less than four miles off. Tiverton and Exeter are within reach by car. Cullompton itself has shops and a pub roughly a mile and a third away. If you're bringing a horse, livery can be arranged with the owner. One dog is welcome. The property does not permit smoking.
